We had the pleasure of recently flying with Vistara on their UK981 flight from Delhi to Mumbai onboard their brand new Airbus A321neo. From start to finish, the experience was truly exceptional, and we would like to take this opportunity to share our experiences on-board the flight.
Booking Experience
One of the things that stood out to us from the very beginning was how easy it was to book our flight. Once the flight was booked, we received a confirmation email with all the relevant details about the flight, including flight number, seat number, and departure time. It was also great to see that Vistara offers a mobile app that could be used to manage the booking, check-in, and get real-time updates about the flight.
Check-in and Boarding
The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has recently launched the DigiYatra app and services at a few airports in India. Delhi airport is one among the list of airports to offer the DigiYatra service. We were able to swiftly avoid the queues and navigate through the airport processes. As we arrived at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, we were delighted to see that Vistara had a dedicated check-in counter for their passengers. The staff at the counter were friendly and efficient, and we were checked in and handed over with our boarding pass in no time.
After checking-in, we made our way to the departure gate, where we were greeted by another friendly Vistara staff member who scanned the boarding pass and directed us towards the aircraft. As we made our way onto the plane, we were struck by how spacious and modern the cabin looked. The aircraft was brand new, and it was clear that no expense had been spared in ensuring that the cabin was comfortable and stylish.
Vistara Airbus A321neo Aircraft Details
Let’s start with the aircraft itself. Vistara Airbus A321neo is a stunning piece of engineering, featuring sleek, modern design and top-of-the-line technology. From the moment we stepped onto the plane, we were impressed by the attention to detail and the high-quality materials used throughout the cabin. The seats were comfortable and spacious, with plenty of legroom and adjustable headrests for added comfort. Each seat was equipped with a personal entertainment screen, which offered a great selection of movies, TV shows, and music to keep me entertained throughout the flight. Vistara’s Airbus A321neo features a total of 188 seats configured across three cabin classes —12 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy and 152 in Economy Class. The cabins are configured in a 2-2 (business class), 3-3 (premium economy) and 3-3 (economy class) format respectively.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Vistara’s Airbus A321neo was the advanced in-flight entertainment system. The screen was large and high-resolution, and the interface was intuitive and easy to use. We were able to browse through the selection of movies and TV shows using a simple touchscreen interface, and the system even allowed me to pause, rewind, and fast-forward through my selection. Additionally, the system had a great selection of music, including playlists curated by Vistara’s own DJs.
The Flight Experience onboard Vistara Airbus A321neo
As soon as we were seated, we were given a warm welcome by the cabin crew Supervisor, Mr. Yogesh. The cabin crew were professional and courteous throughout the flight, and they went out of their way to ensure that all passengers were comfortable and well taken care of. One of the things that really stood out during the flight was the quality of the in-flight entertainment system. The A321neo is equipped with the latest technology, and the large HD screens provided a crisp and clear viewing experience. There was a wide selection of movies, TV shows, and music to choose from, and we were able to pass the time by watching some of my favorite films.
Another thing that impressed us was the food and beverage service. Vistara takes great pride in offering a high-quality dining experience onboard their flights, and the meals on this flight were no exception. We were given a choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, and the food was delicious and well-presented. The cabin crew also ensured that passengers were well-fed and hydrated throughout their journey.
The seating on the flight was also exceptional. The A321neo is equipped with comfortable and spacious seats, and there was plenty of legroom and space to stretch out. The seat recline was good and helped to get some much-needed rest during the flight, which made the journey all the more enjoyable.
Arriving in Mumbai
As we approached Mumbai, the cabin crew began the landing procedures, and we were pleased to see that we arrived at our destination on time. After disembarking from the aircraft, we made our way to baggage claim to pick our checked in bags. The entire process was smooth and hassle-free, and we were able to make our way out of the airport and onto my next destination without any delays.
