Ethiopian Airlines Group, Africa’s premier carrier, has solidified its commitment to excellence by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for an additional 11 Airbus A350-900s, augmenting its already impressive fleet. This latest agreement elevates Ethiopian Airlines’ total order book and commitment for the A350 to 33, including four A350-1000s.
Ethiopian Airlines currently boasts a fleet of 20 A350-900s, and with this strategic move, it further cements its status as the largest A350 customer on the African continent.
The signing ceremony of the MoU took place at the prestigious Dubai Airshow, graced by the presence of Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, and Airbus Chief Commercial Officer and Head of International, Christian Scherer.
Expressing enthusiasm, Mr. Mesfin Tasew stated, “We are thrilled to confirm our commitment to acquiring 11 Airbus A350-900s. As an airline dedicated to customer satisfaction, we eagerly anticipate enhancing our passengers’ experience with the A350’s outstanding features, such as its remarkably quiet cabin and ambient lighting. Expanding our fleet with the latest in technological advancements underscores our commitment to providing a convenient and memorable onboard journey for our esteemed passengers.”
