UPDATE :
In light of the ongoing Ukraine-|Russia fiasco, Exercise Cobra Warrior has been called off. More details to be received.
On February 23, 2022, Indian Air Force made an announcement that the Made in India fighter jet, LCA Tejas will be participating in the Cobra Warrior 2022 exercise. This exercise will be held in the United Kingdom between March 6 to March 27, 2022. IAF Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas will participate in the exercise along with fighter aircraft of UK and other leading Air Forces.
The exercise is aimed at providing operational exposure and share best practices amongst the participating Air Forces, thereby enhancing combat capability and forging bonds of friendship. This will be a platform for LCA Tejas to demonstrate its manoeuvrability and operational capability.
LCA Tejas and Cobra Warrior:
Exercise Cobra Warrior is the Royal Air Force’s premier tactical training event aimed at developing the tactical skills of its aircrew and supporting elements in a Composite Air Operation. This exercise will help to showcase the capabilities of the Indian made LCA at an international level. Earlier this month, the Tejas had made its appearance at the Singapore Air Show 2022 where it performed and left the crowd mesmerized with its flying display.
Five Tejas aircraft will fly to the United Kingdom. IAF’s C-17 aircraft will provide the necessary transport support for induction and de-induction. More details in the link below:
