Fly91

In a significant development for regional air connectivity, Just Udo Aviation Private Limited, operating as FLY91, has been granted its first set of routes under the Indian Government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) UDAN. The newly awarded routes, part of UDAN 5.0, will enable FLY91 to establish crucial links between Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Nanded, and Agatti with popular destinations like Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, and Pune, catering to both business and leisure travelers. This major milestone sets the stage for FLY91’s upcoming commercial operations, scheduled to commence later this year, pending regulatory approvals.

FLY91 on UDAN Routes

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) successfully concluded the 5th round of UDAN bidding during the 5th Helicopter and Small Aircraft Summit, 2023, held in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. The focus of this round was on category-2 (20-80 seats) and category-3 (>80 seats) sectors, with the aim to ease restrictions on the distance between origin and destination airports.

Expressing his enthusiasm on the occasion, Manoj Chacko, MD & CEO of FLY91, stated, “We are thrilled to embark on this journey and are grateful for the opportunity to operate from Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, Nanded, and Agatti as our initial regional airports under the RCS. These new flight connections will not only enhance air travel accessibility for business and leisure travelers but also contribute to the growth of tourism and commerce in these regions. Additionally, it will foster new business opportunities between major metro cities and non-metro destinations.” He added, “Our team at FLY91 is fully committed to launching commercial operations from our base in Goa later this year, pending regulatory approvals. This marks a monumental moment for us and all our stakeholders, and we are dedicated to delivering a delightful customer experience while promoting a well-connected Bharat.

Offering Enhanced Connectivity

Praising the launch of UDAN 5.0, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Minister of Civil Aviation & Steel, affirmed, “UDAN has proven to be a lifeline for many regions, significantly improving connectivity across the country. This new and enhanced version of the scheme will accelerate the momentum, opening up new routes, and bringing us closer to achieving our goal of operationalising 1000 routes and establishing 50 additional airports, heliports, and water aerodromes in the near future.”
