About Terminal 2 CSMIA
Terminal 2 CSMIA had been inaugurated back in January 2014 and has proved it’s importance in catering the ever increasing demand of both domestic and international traffic. Being space crunched and right in the heart of the city, the Terminal echoes the heritage of the city and county in a distinctive manner. Terminal 2 at CSMIA is capable of handling 32 wide body aircraft including the Code F category airplanes such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8i or 48 narrow body aircraft. Terminal 2 was built in phases due to the land constraints. The terminal operations had been managed in such a way that it did not hamper the passenger flow nor it hampered the construction of this iconic building.
Terminal 2 currently has 208 checkin counters, 23 domestic and 30 international security pedestrals, 60 immigration counters and 72 immigration counters in departure and arrival respectively. It has a lot more to offer to its passengers including 200,000 sq. feet landscaped garden and a seating capacity of over 10,900 passengers across the terminal. The terminal also has a 3.2 km art wall called “Jaya He”, which has been carefully curated to indulge the local art and craft from across the country.
We wish everyone at GVK MIAL a hearty congratulations for bagging this award and adding another feather to your cap.
