On June 20, 2020, Alitalia – the flag carrier of Italy – launched their first cargo freighter service to CSMIA, Mumbai. Alitalia plans to operate a non-scheduled weekly flight on the Mumbai – Rome – New York sector with their Boeing 777 Passenger to Cargo [P2C] converted aircraft. On October 27th (start of Winter Schedule), Virgin Atlantic restarted their daily flights from London Heathrow to CSMIA, Mumbai after almost a four year gap of absence. This service adds to the existing flights provided by Air India and British Airways between Heathrow Airport and CSMIA, Mumbai. Air India Makes History With World’s First Use Of Taxibot Robotic Vehicle on Commercial Airbus Flight

On October 15th, on it’s 87th birthday, Air India made history by becoming the first airline in the world to use a Taxibot on a commercial passenger aircraft.
